WHY DO WE GIVE THANKS TO GOD?
He created us (John 11 vs 41)
Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
Because he is God of all gods
He created heaven and earth
As big as the heaven is, no pillar makes it stand
He forgives us all our sins (Psalm 103:6)
The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
He heals our diseases (Psalm 142:3)
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.
He redeemed our souls from destruction
He crowned us with compassion (Psalm103:9)
He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger forever.
He satisfied us with good things
He provides our needs
HOW DO WE GIVE THANKS TO GOD?
Singing unto him
Praising him with musical instruments
By reading his words
Through our sacrifices
By our dance steps
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN YOU GIVE THANKS TO GOD?
You will have abundant joy (Psalm 16:11)
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Thanksgiving will open doors of success (Psalm 92:10)
But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
Protection from dangers
You cannot be caged or imprisoned
He restores all lost possession
Make what Is enough to become surplus
It opens doors of destruction to our enemies
Thanksgiving inspire God to fight for you
WHEN SHOULD WE GIVE THANKS TO GOD?
When men persecute us (Mathew 5:11-12)
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
At all time (Habakkuk 3:18)
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
When things are rosy
When in a difficult situation
